This policy explains what information meatingup.com (“MeatingUp”, “we”) collects, why, and what you can do about it. MeatingUp is operated by Drop Buy Zone, LLC, United States. Contact: hello@meatingup.com.

What we collect

  • Email signups. If you sign up for the free meal plan or our emails, we store your email address, the time you agreed, the wording you agreed to and the page you signed up on. Nothing else.
  • Contact messages. If you use the contact form, we store your name, email address and message so we can reply.
  • Server logs. Our host, Hostinger, keeps standard web server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.

What stays on your device

The grocery list saves your ticks, edits and added items in your browser’s local storage so they are still there when you come back. That information never leaves your device and we cannot see it. Clear it at any time with “Undo my changes” on the list, or by clearing your browser’s data for this site.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC through the Site Kit plugin, to see which pages are read and how people find the site. It records the pages you visit, roughly where you are (from your IP address, which Google shortens), your device and browser, and the page that sent you here. It sets cookies whose names start with _ga. We see only totals and trends, never who you are. You can block it with Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.

Google AdSense. We show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads, including ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google explains this in How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can turn off personalised ads in Google’s ad settings.

Your consent. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), we ask for your consent before analytics or advertising cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time. WordPress also sets cookies for people who log in to manage the site.

Purchases

When you buy a PDF, our store (WooCommerce, running on this site) records your order: your name, email address, billing address, what you bought, the price and the date. We use it to deliver your download links, answer questions about your order, and keep the records that tax and accounting rules require, for as long as they require.

Payments are handled by Stripe or PayPal, depending on how you pay. Your card or PayPal details go to them, not to us; we never see or store your full card number. While you shop, the store sets cookies that remember your cart; they are needed for checkout to work and are not used for advertising.

How we use it, and how long we keep it

We use your email address only to send what you signed up for, and contact details only to reply to you. We don’t sell personal information. Signups are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them; contact messages are kept for up to 24 months. If we start using an email service to send messages, your address will be shared with that service only for sending them.

Your choices

Email hello@meatingup.com to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to unsubscribe. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights under local law, and we will honor them.

Children

MeatingUp is not aimed at children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
